The Middle East's first private airline Jazeera Airways, with it in hub is Kuwait, was launched in October 2005. In keeping with airline trends, Jazeera Airways is one of the new breed of low-cost carriers that have great appeal for the budget-conscience traveling public. At the same time, the airline, which boasts a brand new fleet of A320 aircraft, puts passenger safety and comfort first. Having appointed ITC as its GSA in the spring of 2006, the carrier currently operates from Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Sohag and Sharm El Sheikh (seasonal). It's the 2nd operating Airline in Egypt after Egypt Air the national carrier.
